How can one prime canvas without gesso?

I do not have on hand, and I can not resist my urge to paint, but if I did not prime my canvas The acrylic paint only "Sickert" in and I use much more .. So there is another way I can do it? As I'm down for the use of protein and flour that would be a way to do it … everything works for me.

there is no good answer other than more and gesso for acrylic painting with the only other Possibility is that would be would be somewhat affordable, acrylic medium can be used as a primer. This will work well, but it will probably cost more, as a tub of gesso are plenty of cheap canvases produced in China, primed with exterior paint. I would not recommend it because its not archived. Rabbit skin glue, The traditional size for canvas will also lead to cracking and spalling of acrylic paint. Gesso is an important level in the structure of the image, it is like the foundation a house.
