Why does my minecraft Texture Pack show op gray, and refuse to work?

When I installed my friend and texture packs it all works well, until we choose it. The pack shows no colors and does not change the original textures. Can anyone help us out?

Maybe you should try and look around and try a few. If it still does not work then you is what I normally do, that I extract here and then I open the folder and the Texture Packs Folder is the thing in and then close Minecraft and drag the texture file to the Texture Packs folder, and then I close it. So basically, if it fails again, try to extract and if that still does not send a message to support@mojang.com
