Antique Help? Miniature portraits?

Recently, I found six little pictures in my house and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them or could I to say where I could find an answer yet? They are circular pictures in wooden frames, the image itself is about 2 inches in diameter and the frame is about 5 cm in diameter. They seem simple watercolors. Each frame is a picture of a child in it, and they are the only colors used, blue, red, yellow, orange and black, I think. I found out that they were my great grandmother, and she used to collect antiques, so that they could very well be from the years after 1800. Does anyone have any details, help me to identify you more about this be? It is a stage name, but it is covered by the frame and I can not ruin, to find out. Or has someone everything else like this? Any help would be appreciated!
